Overview
The ASM010 Switchover module is designed to provide an alternate cooling source to
the process in the event of a chiller malfunction. There are two sources of alarm signals
from the chiller that activate the switchover sequence. High temperature and pump
failure alarms are wired from the chiller to the ASM010.
The ASM010 has the ability to operate independently or manually in each mode, city
water only or chiller water only. The equipment can also operate in auto mode. In auto
mode, the ASM010 will automatically switch to city water source for cooling if high
temperature alarm or pump failure is detected.
A set of NO and NC alarm dry contacts are provided.
Four (4) normally closed solenoid valves are located inside the panel. The panel requires
a power supply of 110VAC. Failure or removal of power supply will shut off both water
supplies.
