4.3 Software information
Most of the applications in the support DVD have wizards that will conveniently
guide you through the installation. View the online help or readme file that came
with the software application for more information.
4.3.1 VIA ® High Definition Audio utility High Definition Audio utility
The VIA ® High Definition Audio CODEC provides 10-channel audio capability
(Windows ® Vista / 7 only) to deliver the ultimate audio experience on your
computer. The software provides Jack-Detection,Multi-Streaming, Front Panel
Jack-Retasking and S/PDIF Out support.
Follow the installation wizard to install the VIA ® Audio Driver from the support
CD/DVD that came with the motherboard package.
If the VIA audio software is correctly installed, you will find
the
VIA HD Audio Deck icon on the Windows notification
area. Click on the icon to display the VIA HD Audio Deck.
