SIZE tRACK & HEADER
PREPARE ROuGH OPENING
• Be sure rough opening is the proper size.
Rough opening height equals door height
plus 3-1/4".
• Mount end bracket at 79-3/4" above
finished floor or sole strip for 6'8" door.
• If floor covering (carpet, etc.) is more
than 1/4” in thickness:
1. Cut off bottom of door
OR
2. Use sole strip in pocket opening,
equal to thickness of floor covering and
as wide as the width of the frame.
• The header assembly comes configured for 3' doors.
• For alternate door widths cut track and nailing strips
to appropriate marks indicated on header assembly.

Note: Rough opening height is measured to finished floor or
top of sole strip (if used).
When cutting for smaller doors, relocate mounting bracket
A no closer than 1” from the end of the nailing strip. For
2' doors, remove and discard mounting bracket A. Leave
brackets B, C and D as is.
