retainer this is a plastic nail so to speak, which plunges into the lower section
spreading it into the factory radiator cover locking it in place. By pulling up on
this top section you will be able to release the entire retainer.
2. You have been provided with two lengths of Velcro attachment tape. Place the
two lengths directly to the edge of the factory cover you just prepared. Press
firmly to set. Expose the tapes adhesive edge so that the top section of the tape
will attach to the new cover once it is set in position.
3. You will notice a large rubber grommet securing the air tube to the factory
radiator cover. Starting with the passenger side slide the stainless cover notch
directly under the air tubes ear so that it will rest between the grommet and the air
tube. Slide it completely in and set it down so that it will come into contact with
the attachment tape installed earlier and press firmly to set. Lift the cover off the
mounted attachment tape and remove the cover. Firmly press the attachment tape
securely to the underside of the new cover. This will create a nice permanent
attachment.
4. Reinstall the cover and adjust its position to achieve a nice straight final position.
Make sure the small hole in the cover lines up with the retainer hole. Once the
cover is in place replace the factory retainer. Repeat the procedure for the
opposite side. Remove the protective liner then firmly press the entire air tube
assembly to snap back in place over the plastic retainers.
Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your cover. It is a good idea to lightly
dust your cover with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from
scratching it. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak
free glass cleaner. SEE ENCLOSED CARE SHEET!
