attempt to do this yourself you will scratch the paint causing you to touch up.) Once the panel has
been set into position align all the holes with a Philips screwdriver but be careful not to poke the outer
skin. Once you have aligned all the holes Remove the protective liner and simply press in all of the
chrome hood buttons. Then set the two loose upper trim rings, mentioned earlier, to finish the
installation.
7. If you have elected to install the optional 5.0 Mustang decorative hood badge simply place the unit
into position and secure it in place with the hardware provided (4-Rivets or 4-Sheet Metal Screws).
Then cap that hardware with the decorative peel and stick trim ring. The attachment hardware
contains several rivets and or several flat head screws to be drill into the hoods sub fame and secured.
You can choose which ever method you prefer screws or rivets. Then peel the red release liner from
the back of the trim ring and set it over the badge plate and press it between your fingers to create the
bond. Then peel the protective liner. If you have elected to purchase the illuminated version of this
plate you will need to have already pre routed the power supply wire thought the same area of the sub
frame that you routed your windshield sprayer supply tube. Then route the wire down towards your
battery or to your own power source and switch.
