2. Drill a small 3/16” hole at the upper edge, at the very dead center of the sub frame just below the windows level. This
will insure the wire for the LED will be hidden by the new frame.

3. Insert the wire for the LED through the new hole and then using a common coat hanger fish the wire from the new
frame to the upper right hand corner of the hood and out the safety catch hole there. Set the new frame onto the
window to get aquatinted with its intended position and also to show yourself just how you will set the frame into place
making sure you can do this in one shot. This is important because the new frames attachment tape is extremely
aggressive and reliable and it will not allow you to reposition the frame should it become attached in the wrong position.
We recommend that you practice placing it a few times before you actually permanently stick it to the window. Now
that you have a good idea how you will install it simply peel the red release liner from the back of the new frame and
then carefully set it in place pressing very firmly along its perimeter to set the bond.

4. Now that the new frame has been successfully installed you can now continue to route the wire. You will notice an
indented area of the sub frame. This area will not allow you to pass to the lower section of the sub frame and must be
routed out of the upper section and into the lower section. In order to do this in the most unnoticeable way, drill a small
1/8” hole at the hoods sub frames side just above and below this indent. Drill these two holes as close to the outer skin
as possible. These two small holes will allow you to sneak the wire out and then in and should be very inconspicuous.
Drill a small 3/16” hole at the very bottom of the hoods heel just to the inside of where the hood gets bolted. This will
also provide a very inconspicuous route for the wire to enter the engine bay.

5. Now that the frame and wires have been installed you can reinstall the hood.

6. Route the wire up to and around the back of the battery and out between the hood latch and thru front of the
battery. Cut and crimp one of the two female blade connectors to the red wire a couple of inches out of the area. Then
attach that connector to the peel and stick switch assembly provided in your kit.

7. Cut and crimp the large ring connector to the black wire and then attach this lead to the negative side of the battery.

8. Attach the fuse link to the positive side of the battery. This link will have a red crimp connector at the opposite end.
Crimp a length of the excess red wire to the connector and then route that wire up to the switch area. Crimp the
remaining female blade connector to the end of the wire and then connected it to the remaining tab on the back of the
switch.

9. Your new switch plate has been especially designed to peel and stick into the cavity in from of the battery just behind
the hood catch when you are ready to stick this in place simply swipe the area clean with alcohol and swipe with the
adhesive promoter pad used from the hood frame, at this area under the fender ridge and simply peel the red release
liner from the back of the switch plate and then press it into place to finish the installation.
