unforced fit. Once satisfied with the fit of panels, you must prepare them for
final installation.
4. Thoroughly clean the three hood panel areas with Isopropyl alcohol and then with
household lacquer thinner.
5. Apply some household 100% clear silicone to marked areas on the panels. Be
sure to apply enough silicone so that it will make contact with both the hood and
panel.
6. Once enough silicone is applied, remove the red attachment tape and insert each
panel and press firmly to set.
NOTE: Red attachment tape is used to hold panels in place long enough for
silicone to cure, not to necessarily hold the panel. In fact, it is normal for
some areas not to make contact at all. If you see some minor space between
the panel and hood, don’t panic. As long as the silicone is applied enough to
make contact with both the hood and panel it will be fine.
7. Leave hood open overnight to allow silicone to set. Leaving hood open will allow
silicone to set correctly.
Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your panels. It is a good idea to lightly
dust your panels with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from
scratching it. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak
free glass cleaner.
