About the IE-PowerTray/18-AC
The IE-PowerTray/18-AC is a modular enclosure for installing up to 18 IMC Networks
Compact Converter Form Factor miniature media converters. IE-PowerTray/18-AC
features an internal AC power supply.

All the above will be referred to as Compact Converter Form Factor throughout
this manual.
Installing IE-PowerTray/18-AC
The IE-PowerTray/18-AC mounts into an equipment rack. IMC Networks
recommends turning OFF the power to the chassis before proceeding.
To install a Compact Converter Form Factor, make sure the data connectors are
facing the front of the tray. Slide the Compact Converter Form Factor into the IE-
PowerTray/18-AC, using the guides, until the Compact Converter Form Factor is
firmly seated in the backplane. Attach the network cables between the Compact
Converter Form Factor and other devices that will be interconnected. Plug the
chassis into a power source and turn the chassis power switch to ON. There is a
green LED located on the back of the unit that indicates when the unit has power.
Compact Converter Form Factor units are hot-swappable when installing in the IE-
PowerTray/18-AC. Refer to the installation guide shipped with Compact Converter
Form Factor for information on its operation.
