13. Interchangeable Bluetooth Module

EZURiO’s range of Wireless LAN modules have been designed to be

physically interchangeable with the BTM402 Bluetooth module and

the BISM Bluetooth Serial Module. For product designers this

means that they can design a single pcb, which can be populated

with either an 802.11 or Bluetooth module, giving the opportunity to

launch two different variants of wireless connectivity at minimal

additional engineering effort.

The BISM range of Bluetooth modules are fully integrated and

qualified products, featuring an embedded Bluetooth stack and a

comprehensive set of AT commands for managing the wireless link.

They are ideal for low power M2M applications where cable replacement is the primary requirement.

They also feature PCM support for voice applications, including eSCO operation. The BISM2 PA module

is the industry’s most efficient long range Bluetooth module, with open field ranges in excess of 1km.
