3.3 Packaging, transport and storage
Your instrument was protected by packaging during transport. Its
capacity to handle normal loads during transport is assured by a test
based on ISO 4180.
The outer packaging of standard instruments consists of environ-
ment-friendly, recyclable cardboard. In addition, PE foam or PE foil is
also used. Dispose of the packaging material via specialised recycling
companies.
For transport, the source holder is fixed on a transport plate of wood
and protected by a foam packaging.
Information:
The foam packaging can be disposed of in the standard household
waste.
Transport must be carried out under consideration of the notes on the
transport packaging. Nonobservance of these instructions can cause
damage to the device.
According to the IATA regulations, the source container serves
adequately as type A packaging for the sources. For transport, the
source container is fixed on a transport plate and protected by foam
packaging.
Dimensions of the transport packaging in mm (in):

Without pneumatic switching facility: 380 x 380 x 450
(15 x 15 x 18)
•
With pneumatic switching facility: 380 x 380 x 600 (15 x 15 x 24)
When transporting with a crane or fork truck, use the towing loops of
the transport packaging according to the following illustration.
Warning:
Check the hoist equipment on sufficient lifting capacity, approx.
110 kg (244 lbs)
Persons should never stay beneath the loads.
•
Shift both grommets over a fork rod of the fork truck.
•
Loosen the transport packaging from the pallet.
•
Lift the transport packaging slowly.
•
Slightly lower the transport packaging for safety reasons and
transport it carefully without sudden travelling movements to the
place of installation.
