Song recording feature lets you record
four melody tracks with an accompaniment track.

XG
XG is a new MIDI format created by Yamaha which
significantly improves and expands upon the “GM Sys-
tem Level 1” standard by providing a greater variety of
high-quality voices plus considerably enhanced effect
operation while being fully compatible with GM.
PSR-530 supports the XG format.
GM System Level 1
“GM System Level 1” is an addition to the MIDI
standard which ensures that any GM-compatible music
data can be accurately played by any GM-compatible
tone generator, regardless of manufacturer. The GM
mark is affixed to all software and hardware products that
support the “GM System Level 1”.
PSR-530 supports GM System Level 1.
