Answering system
Use the answering system menu of a cordless handset or telephone
base to turn on or off the answering system or message alert tone, set
up the announcement message, activate the call screening, or change
the number of rings, remote access code and message recording time.
Announcement
The telephone is preset with a greeting that answers calls with,
“ Hello. Please leave a message after the tone.” You can use this
preset announcement, or replace it with your own .
Record your own announcement
You can record an announcement up to 90 seconds, but any
announcement shorter than two seconds will not be recorded.
To record an announcement with a cordless handset:
Press MENU when idle.
Scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Press SELECT again to select Announcement.
Press SELECT again to select Record annc. The system
announces, “Record after the tone. Press 5 when you are done.”
After the tone, speak towards the microphone.
Press
5 when done.
To record an announcement with the telephone base:
Press MENU when idle, then press SELECT to select Answering system.
Press SELECT again to select Announcement.
Press SELECT again to select Record new annc. The system
announces, “Record after the tone. Press SAVE when you are done.”
After the tone, speak towards the microphone.
Press
SAVE when done.
