❒ take out the tool box C fig. 97 and place it next to
the wheel to be changed;
❒ take the space-saver wheel D fig. 97;
❒ use the provided screwdriver to remove the hub
cap, levering the dedicated opening on the outer
edge;
❒ for cars fitted with alloy wheels, remove the
press-fitted hub cap using the screwdriver
provided;
❒ loosen the retaining bolts for the wheel to be
changed by about one turn using the spanner
provided E fig. 98;
❒ turn the jack handle to partially open it fig. 99;
❒ position the jack near the wheel to be repaired at
the reference point on the side member;
❒ extend the jack until groove F fig. 99 on the jack
fits correctly into ridge G fig. 99 underneath the
side member;
❒ alert other passengers that the car is about to be
raised; all persons should be kept away from the
car until it has been lowered;
