EMERGENCY STARTING
When jump starting, never connect the negative lead (–)
of the auxiliary battery to the negative pole A-fig. 115 of
the car battery, but rather to an engine/gearbox earth
point.

CAR INACTIVITY
If the vehicle is not used for a long period (or if the bat-
tery is replaced), it is necessary to disconnect the battery
electric supply; to execute this type of operation very care-
fully proceed as follows:
❒ press the button A-fig. 114 to remove the connector
B from the sensor C monitoring the battery conditions
(the latter is on the negative pole of the battery).
When replacing the battery, always go to
a Fiat Dealership. Replace the battery us-
ing a new one of the same type (HEAVY DUTY)
and having the same specifications.
