To conf igure the I P address da ta for the BOOTP ser ver,

you will ne ed to log in the host of BOOTP se r ver as the

s uperuser (r oot) . Perf orm the following steps to add addr ess

e ntr ies,

1. Optiona lly, ass ign a na me cor r esponding t o the

pr int se r ver ’s IP a ddre ss. You ca n a dd this a ddr ess to the

/etc /hos ts f ile , by adding a line suc h a s:

203.66.191.12

pserver

2. Ad d an entr y to the hos t’s /etc /bootpta b f ile , s imilar

to the followin g:

hostname:\

:ht=1:\

:ha=print_server_ethernet_address:\

:ip=print_server_ip_address:
