The modem will perform a brief self-test. Then the
READY light should go on to show that the faxmodem
is ready for use.
Note: If the computer goes into power-save mode
(also referred to as “going to sleep”), the mo-
dem’s READY light will go off. The light will go
on automatically whenever the faxmodem is in
use.
The USB faxmodem has a set of eight indicator lights on
the front. A chart explaining what the lights mean is on
the following page. This chart is also reproduced in con-
densed form on the bottom of the faxmodem.
