MANUAL EXERCISE
QUICK START
You can start to exercise without selecting settings.
The console activates automatically when you
start to pedal. You can adjust the resistance during
exercise from the adjustment knob. The console
tracks your performance continuously.
PRACTISING WITH TARGET VALUES
You can set target values for your exercise. Press the
MODE key to get to target value settings.
TM = setting the desired time for exercise
DST = setting the desired distance for exercise
CAL = setting the desired energy consumption for
exercise
PLS = setting the desired target pulse rate for
exercise.
Pressing the SET key selects the target value for the
exercise.
Pressing the MODE key accepts the value and
moves to the next setting.
Pressing the RESET key resets the setting.
When you have set the desired target/targets,
start your exercise by pedalling. Target value starts
counting down to zero. The console beeps when
the target value has been met. If you continue
to exercise, the exercise value starts to show
accumulative value. The console also indicates
when you exceed the target pulse rate. The main
screen values alternate every 6 seconds. If necessary
the resistance can be adjusted from the adjustment
knob.
You can interrupt your exercise for 5 minutes
and the performance information will stay in the
console’s memory. After this the console will switch
to energy saving mode and the console’s memory
will be erased. You can stop exercising and reset the
screen with the RESET key.
RECOVERY – MEASURING THE RECOVERY
PULSE
Measure your recovery pulse rate at the end of the
workout.
1.
To start the measuring of the recovery pulse rate,
press RECOVERY.
2 .
The measuring takes one minute.
3.
Upon completion of the measurement, the
display shows the recovery rate as a percentage.
At the end of the measuring cycle, result F1-F6
(F1 = best result) appears on the screen. Please
note that your results are in a relation to the pulse
level in the beginning of the measurement, and
that your results are personal and cannot directly
be compared with any other person’s results.
In order to improve the reliability of recovery
pulse measurement, always try to standardize the
measurement situation as accurately as possible;
start measuring at the same heart rate level as
precisely as possible.
4 .
To switch back to the main display, press
RECOVERY.
MAINTENANCE
The F20 requires very little maintenance. Check,
however, from time to time that all screws and nuts
are tight. Clean the cycle with a damp cloth. Do
not use solvents.
Never remove the protective covers.
The brake forms a magnetic field, which may
damage the mechanism of a watch or the magnetic
identification tape of a credit or cash card if they
come into immediate contact with the magnets.
Never attempt to detach or remove the magnet
fork of the magnetic brake.
If the cycle is not used for a period of time the
transmission belt may become temporarily
distorted. This can lead to a slightly uneven
pedalling sensation when used. However, after a
few minutes of use the effect will disappear as the
belt returns to its original form.
CHANGING BATTERIES
If the meter display becomes very weak or there
is no display at all, change the batteries. Detach
the lid of the battery casing at the back of the
meter and remove the old batteries. Place the new
batteries in the holder (2 x 1.5 V AA) and push the
battery casing lid back into place.
