Sp Config (Speaker Configuration)

With the Speaker Configuration, you can
specify how may speakers you’re using.

Note:
• Before you change this setting, turn down

the volume.

Subwoofer

Yes:

Select if a subwoofer is used (default).

No:

Select if no subwoofer is used.

Front

Small:

Select if the front speakers are small
(default).

Large:

Select if the front speakers are large.

Note:
• If the Subwoofer setting is set to No, this

setting is fixed at Large and does not
appear.

Center

Small:

Select if the center speaker is small.

Large:

Select if the center speaker is large.

None:

Select if no center speaker is connected
(default).

Note:
• If the Front setting is set to Small, the

Large option cannot be selected.

Surround

Small:

Select if the surround speakers are small.

Large:

Select if the surround speakers are large.

None:

Select if no surround speakers are con-
nected (default).

Note:
• If the Front setting is set to Small, the

Large option cannot be selected.

Crossover

This setting only applies to the speakers that
you specified as Small.
To get the best bass performance from your
speaker system, you need to set the crossover
frequency according to the size and frequency
response of your speakers.

Use the diameter of the smallest speaker in
your system when choosing the crossover fre-
quency.

* Choose the setting suitable for the speaker.

Notes:
• For a more accurate setting, look up the

frequency response in the manuals supplied
with your speakers and set accordingly.

• Choose a higher crossover frequency if you

want more sound from your subwoofer.

Double Bass

With the Double Bass function, you can boost
bass output by feeding bass sounds from the
front left, right, and center channels to the
subwoofer.

On:

Double Bass function on. Bass from the
front left and right channels is also fed to
the subwoofer (default).

Off:

Double Bass function off.

Note:
• If the Subwoofer setting is set to No, or the

Front setting is set to Small, this setting
does not appear.
