Erasing
Notes
• You cannot recover a fi le once it has been
erased. Please check carefully before
erasing.
• The locked fi les and fi les set as read-only
cannot be erased (
☞ P.47, P.49).
• If an action is not selected within 8
seconds, the recorder will return to stop
status.
• If there is a fi le that cannot be recognized
by the recorder, the fi le and the folder
which contains that fi le will not be erased.
Please connect the record to your PC to
erase.

`/MENU button.
• The display changes to [Erase!] and
erasing will start.
• [Erase Done] is displayed when the
file is erased. File numbers will be
reassigned automatically.

+ button to select
[Start].
For WS-710M, WS-700M only:
• When an microSD card is inserted in the
recorder, be sure to confi rm the recording
media as either [Built-in Memory]
or [microSD Card] so that there is no
mistake (
☞ P.47, P.57).
• It may take over 10 seconds to complete
processing. Never perform operations
such as the following while processing, as
they may damage the data. In addition,
replace the battery with a new one in
order to ensure that the battery will not
run out while processing.

2 Removing the battery while
processing.
3 Remove the microSD card ard during
processing when [microSD Card] is
being used as the recording media.
• The default folders of the recorder,
namely [Recorder], including [Folder A]
to [Folder E] and [Radio Folder]) and
[Music] cannot be erased.
• In the [Music] folder, all folders except
[Music] can be deleted.
For WS-600S only:
• It may take over 10 seconds to complete
processing. Never perform operations
such as the following while processing, as
they may damage the data. In addition,
replace the battery with a new one in
order to ensure that the battery will not
run out while processing.
