Speaker Configuration
The following table indicates the channels you should use
depending on the number of speakers that you have.
No matter how many speakers you use, 2 powered
subwoofers are recommended for a really powerful and
solid bass.
To get the best from your surround sound system, you need
to set the speaker settings automatically (

Connecting the Speaker Cables

7.2-channel playback
The following illustration shows how to connect the speakers to each pair of terminals. If you’re using only one surround
back speaker, connect it to the SURR BACK L terminals. Select the speakers (surround back, front high, front wide) you
want to use for 7.2-channel playback. You can set which speakers you want to use by priority. See “Selecting Speaker
Layout” (

Screw-type speaker terminals
Strip 1/2" to 5/8" (12 to 15 mm) of insulation from the ends
of the speaker cables, and twist the bare wires tightly, as
shown.

Banana Plugs (North American models)
• If you are using banana plugs, tighten the speaker
terminal before inserting the banana plug.
• Do not insert the speaker code directly into the center
hole of the speaker terminal.
