Handset display HANDSET NEEDS REGISTRATION
• Follow the programming the telephone procedures to re-register the
handset to the base.
• Press the program/mute key.
HOLD BASE PAGE, WAIT FOR BEEP shows on the handset display
• Press and hold the page/int button until the unit beeps (within 30
seconds). Handset shows HANDSET # REGISTERED and HANDSET
NAME comes up on the display.
• Enter the handset name (within 15 characters)
• Press program/mute key to confirm and you will hear a confirmation tone.
Dial tone is OK but can’t dial out
• Make sure the TONE/PULSE setting on the handset is set to the type of
phone service you are subscribed to.
Handset/Base does not ring
• Make sure the handset ringer is turned on and the base ringer is
programmed to HIGH.
• The cordless handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to
the base.
• You may have too many extension phones on your line. Try unplugging
some phones.
• Check for dial tone.
You experience static, noise, or fading in and out
• The cordless handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to
the base.
• Relocate the base. Make sure base is not plugged into an outlet with
another household appliance.
• Charge the battery.
