N OTE : If you key in a wrong PIN2 code
three times in succession, follow the
same instructions as for the PIN code
but this time using the PUK2 code.
PUK Code (8 digits)
The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is re-
quired to change a blocked PIN code. The PUK
code may be supplied with the SIM card. If not,
contact your local service provider for the code.
If you lose the code, contact your service provid-
er.
PUK2 Code (8 digit)
The PUK2 code, supplied with some SIM cards, is
required to change a blocked PIN2 code. If you
lose the code, contact your service provider.
Protection Cap of the
Antenna Connector
At the back of the phone below the antenna
there is a connector for an external antenna. The
connector may be protected by a rubber cap. If it
is, first remove the cap when connecting the ex-
ternal antenna. After removing the antenna, re-
place the cap.
Note: Keep the cap out of small chil-
dren’s reach.
Battery Information
The following manufacturer-approved recharge-
able batteries are available for your phone:
NiMH batteries BMS-2S, BMS-2 and BMS-2V,
and Li-Ion batteries BLS-2, BLS-2H, BLS-4 and
BLS-5.
The approximate operation times for new batter-
ies are:
N5110
Talk time for the batteries BMS-2S, BMS-2,
BMS-2V and BLS-2 is from 3 to 5 hours and for
the battery BLS-4 from 5 to 8 hours.
N5110
Standby time for the batteries BMS-2S, BMS-2,
BMS-2V and BLS-2 is from 60 to 270 hours and
for the battery BLS-4 from 100 to 450 hours.
Charging and Discharging the
Battery
• Your phone is powered by a rechargeable bat-
tery.
• Note that a new battery's full performance is
achieved only after two or three complete
charge and discharge cycles!
• The battery can be charged and discharged
hundreds of times but it will eventually wear
out. When the operating time (talk-time and
stand-by time) is noticeably shorter than nor-
mal, it is time to buy a new battery.
• Use only batteries approved by the phone
manufacturer and recharge your battery only
with the chargers approved by the manufac-
turer.
• When a charger is not in use, disconnect it
from the power source. Do not leave the bat-
tery connected to a charger for longer than a
week, since overcharging may shorten its life.
If left unused a fully charged battery will dis-
charge itself over time.
• For good operation times, discharge the
NiMH battery from time to time by leaving
your phone switched on until it turns itself
off. Do not attempt to discharge the battery
by any other means.
• Temperature extremes will affect the ability
of your battery to charge: allow it to cool
down or warm up first.
