Switching the Phone On
and Off

Press and hold the

key for a second.

If the phone asks for a PIN code:

The PIN code is usually supplied with the SIM
card.

• Key in the PIN code, which is displayed as as-

terisks ✱, and press

(

OK

).

asterisks ✱, and press

Warning!

Do not switch on the phone

when wireless phone use is prohibited or
when it may cause interference or dan-
ger.

As with any other radio transmitting de-
vice, do not touch the antenna unneces-
sarily when the phone is switched on.
Contact with the antenna affects call
quality and may cause the phone to op-
erate at a higher power level than other-
wise needed.

The Display Indicators

The indicators described below are shown when
the phone is ready for use, with no characters
entered by the user. This is also called ‘a clear
display’.

OPER-
ATOR

Indicates in which cellular network
the phone is currently used.

P and bar

Shows the radio signal strength of
the cellular network at your current
location. The more bars are visible,
the stronger is the signal.

T and bar

Shows how much power there is
left in the battery. The more bars
visible, the more power in the bat-
tery.

1 or 2

Indicates which phone line is cur-
rently selected for use.
