Keyguard
This feature helps prevent accidental key presses, especially
if you wear your phone on a belt clip or keep it in your pocket.
When Keyguard is activated and there is no call in
progress, key presses will not be accepted and key tones
will not be generated, except for calls to 911 (or other offi-
cial preprogrammed emergency numbers) and

. If the

key is pressed, the lights will come on.
To quickly activate Keyguard
Press and hold
ô
until .(<*8$5'
$&7,9( appears on your display.
This will remain on the screen for
about 2 seconds.
This method can be used at any time,
even at the end of a call.
Another way of activating Keyguard
With an empty display,
Press 0HQX, then ∗
Yet a third way to activate Keyguard
You can activate Keyguard a third way by pressing 0HQX
11. Your phone will then be protected from any unwanted
key presses.
Note: Keyguard cannot be activated when your phone is
connected to a car kit or an office handsfree kit.
To deactivate Keyguard
Press 0HQX, then ∗
To answer a call with Keyguard active
Press

During the call, the keypad remains unlocked for normal
operation. Keyguard automatically reactivates after the call
is completed.
