e Monitor Settings
Choose whether or not to display information in the monitor, and set the monitor
brightness.
Photo Info
The following display options are available.
See “The Monitor” (
A 6) for information on indicators in the monitor.
Photo info
Choose information displayed in monitor during shooting and playback mode.
Brightness
Choose from five settings for monitor brightness. The default setting is 3.
Shooting mode Playback mode
Show info
Auto info
(default setting) The current settings or operation guide is displayed for a few seconds, as in
Show info above. After five seconds, display will be the same as Hide info.

When shooting in A (auto) or high-
sensitivity mode, a framing grid
appears to help frame pictures, in
addition to Auto info display
information.
In other modes, the display is the
same Auto info.
