Answering System
Problem
You cannot page a cordless
handset.
You cannot redial by
pressing
(REDIAL) .
Cause and Remedy
≥ The cordless handset is too far from the
base unit.
≥ The cordless handset is engaged in an
outside call, viewing the Caller
List/directory list or listening to
messages. Try again. Wait until
“
Portable in use ” disappears.
≥ If the last number dialed was more than
32 digits long, the number will not be
redialed correctly.
Problem
The answering system is on,
but incoming messages are
not recorded.
You cannot listen to the
recorded messages.
“ Message full ” flashes on
the base unit display and
the ANSWER ON indicator
flashes rapidly, and no new
messages are recorded.
You cannot operate the
answering system with the
base unit.
Caller ID information does
not display during message
playback (p. 64).
Cause and Remedy
≥ The recording time is set to “Greeting
only”. Select “1 minute”, “2 minutes” or
“3 minutes” (p. 26).
≥ Memory is full. Erase some, or all, of
the messages (p. 65).
≥ Make sure that the unit is not being
used.
≥ Memory is full. Erase some, or all, of
the messages (p. 65).
≥ The cordless handset user is operating
the answering system, or is engaged in
an outside call. Wait until “
Portable
in use ” disappears.
≥ The caller information will not be
displayed if the Caller List is renewed
and the caller information is erased
(p. 42, 43).
