Remote Code (Base\Unit)
The remote code prevents unauthorized people from accessing your unit
and listening to your messages. Choose any 2-digit number (00–99).
The factory preset remote code is “11”. If you do not program your own
remote code, you can use “11”.
Make sure the base unit and cordless handset are not being used.
1 Press (FUNCTION/EDIT) .
2 Scroll to “ Set answering ” by pressing
(›) or (‹) .
3 Press (fl) ( Yes key).
4 Scroll to “ Remote code ” by pressing (›)
or (‹) .
5 Press (fl) ( Yes key).
≥ The current setting is displayed.
6 Enter a remote code using a 2-digit
number (00–99).
7 Press (fl) ( Save key).
≥ A beep sounds.
≥ To exit the programming mode, press
(EXIT/STOP) .
≥ You can exit the programming mode any time by pressing
(EXIT/STOP)
.
To check the remote code
Repeat steps 1 to 5.
≥ The current remote code is displayed. When finished, press
(EXIT/STOP)
