ow that you have looked up
the three-digit Remote

Code Number for your brand of
accessory device (see page 45-
46), you are ready to follow the
simple steps shown below.

Please read through all the
steps before beginning
.

Press and release the REC

(RECORD) button.

Within three seconds after

releasing the REC button, press
and release the correct VCR
or ACC(essory) System
button.

Within thirty seconds after

releasing the VCR or ACC
System button, ENTER THE
THREE DIGIT CODE
NUMBER
for the desired
device. The remote is now ready
to send commands to the
accessory.

Point the remote at the

accessory device. Press the
POWER button on the remote to
turn the device ON.

Remember, if this does

not work the first time,

repeat steps using the same remote
code number.

If after a second try the remote
does not operate your accessory
device, and there are more code
numbers listed for your brand, use
the next listed code number.

If after repeated attempts the code
number method does not work
your accessory device, try the
"SEARCH METHOD" shown on
the following page.

with a backlight option, the unit may
“blink” or flash after three-digit
Direct Access code numbers are
entered on the keypad. (Two blinks
indicate a valid code number entry;
one long blink indicates an invalid
code number or the thirty second
time interval for entering code
numbers has expired.)
