TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Remedy
1. The printer i s aski ng for
“LABEL CODE”.
• Enter LABEL CODE printed on tape cassette.
2. The dis play st ays blank
after you have t urned on
the machine.
• Check that the correct AC adapter (LS7-ACS) is
being used and that it is connected correct ly.
• If you are usi ng alkaline batteries, check that they
are correctly i nserted.
• If the batteries are low, replace them with new
ones.
3. The machi ne does not print
or t he printed characters
are blurred.
• Check that the correct AC adapter (LS7-ACS) is
being used and that it is connected correct ly.
• Check that the t ape cassette has been i nserted
properly.
• If the t ape cassette is em pty, replace i t with a new
one.
• Make s ure that the back cover has been attached.
4. The text files that you
stored i n the memory are
no longer there.
• If the batteries are low, replace them with new
ones.
5. The printed characters are
not form ed properly.
• If you are usi ng alkaline batteries, they may be
low. Try using t he AC adapt er or replace t he
batteri es wit h new ones .
• Check that the correct AC adapter (LS7-ACS) is
being used and that it is connected correct ly.
6. A blank horizontal whi te
line appears through the
pri nted l abel.
• Clean the pri nt head as explained on page 13 and
14.
7. Striped tape appears . • You have reached the end of the tape.
Replace the tape cassette with a new one.
8. The machi ne has “l ocked
up” (i.e., nothing happens
when a key is pressed).
• Turn off the m achine, and then while holding
down and , turn t he machine back
on. WARNING: The text in the di splay, al l format
setti ngs, and all text files s tored in the memory are
erased.
