ITSP Dial-In Access (SN4110 Series FXO)
Internet Telephony Providers (ITSPs) have different options for giving access to their customers. E.g.
direct connections over broadband Internet, Call-shops or dial-in access. This works as follows:
q
The customer calls a local number where a SmartNode is connected (originating Gateway)
q
The SmartNode provides a 2
nd
dial-tone so that the customer can dial the destination number
q
Based on this second number the call is routed to the terminating gateway
q
The terminating gateway picks up the line and dials the destination number

In general this application is implemented in combination with 3rd party systems for IVR
(announcement messages, PIN verification), Gatekeeper or SIP Server (call routing, signaling) and
Accounting (raw data for customer billing) – For complete system offers Contact Patton Global
Solutions. For very small deployments the SmartNode can be deployed standalone.
