The SmartNode product line also includes compact ISDN BRI router-gateways (SmartNode 1000

Series) and modular gateway routers for up to 4 E1 PRI (SmartNode 2000 Series).

The SmartNode products can be combined with Patton broadband transmission products such as

Compact low cost IP Router with dual 10/100 Ethernet and

integrated H.323, SIP (later MGCP) VoIP Gateway and 2 to 8

FXS and 2 or 4 FXO telephony interfaces.

Data Connectivity

Two auto sensing full duplex 10/100 BaseT Ethernet (RJ-45)

ports with built in auto MDI-X switch

IP Connectivity

DHCP server and client, Firewall, Access Control Lists (ACL),
PPPoE client

Voice Connectivity

2, 4, 6 or 8 FXS ports (2-wire, RJ-11/12) connect to any
standard handset or PBX trunk port. The FXS ports provide
CLIP, hook-flash and configurable tones.

2 or 4 FXO (2-wire, RJ-11/12) connect to analog lines
provided by public network operators or internal analog

extensions of PBX systems.

Call Routing

The Session Router solves practically any call routing and
number mapping requirement including fallbacks. This is

critical for seamless integration into existing numbering plans

enhanced even further to include routing rules and mapping

functions based on regular expressions.
