Selecting the Metering Modes
The camera is usually set to multiple [ ],
but it is possible to switch to center
weighted [
] or spot [ ] mode.
[Preparation]
• Set the operational mode dial and REC
mode dial. (P25)

Press the metering mode selection
button.
• Every time you press this button,
what is displayed changes as shown
below.
: Multiple
Considering the brightness variation on the
whole screen, adjust the exposure
correctly.
: Center weighted
Let the subject be centered on the LCD
monitor and set the metering mode.
: Spot
Set the metering mode using the spot
metering indication that is displayed on the
LCD monitor.

Take a picture.
• The recording method is the same as
in “Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)”.

• When taking pictures with spot mode [ ], it is recommended to use the LCD
monitor.
• When recording in AUTO [ ] or motion image [ ] mode, the camera is
set to multiple.
