Depending on the disc type, the regional code and the recording conditions, it may not always be possible to play the discs listed.

In order to playback a DVD-R, DVD-RW (DVD-Video format) or +R recorded using this unit
on another unit, the disc may need to be finalised.
The disc may also not be able to be played back on other units even after finalising.
The disc can only be played back on DVD-RAM-compatible players.
After the recording is complete, it takes approx. 30 seconds for the unit to finish
the recording information. The first 30 seconds of a recording may be missing if you
perform several TIMER-controlled recordings in a row.
This unit cannot play discs that contain PAL and NTSC signals. Discs that were recorded
on another unit with PAL and NTSC signals may not be able to be played back.

PAL or NTSC signals:
New or previously used (e.g. in computers) DVD-RAMs or DVD-RWs may need to
be formatted before recording with this unit.
You can use the playback and the DIRECT NAVIGATOR while the unit is in timer-
standby mode.

Some DVD-R; DVD+R; DVD-R DL; DVD+R DL; DVD-RAM (2.6 GB/5.2 GB); DVD-ROM; CD-ROM; CDV;
SVCD that do not conform to IEC62107; SACD; MV-Disc; PD; Photo CD; DivX Video Disc, Blu Ray etc.
The playback of non-standard video CDs is not guaranteed.
