DRU-3A DIGITAL RECORDING UNIT
(OPTIONAL)

The optional DRU-3A unit allows you to record a voice
message on up to 3 channels. After recording a
message via your transceiver microphone, you can then
send that message.

The maximum recording time for each channel is as
follows:

Channel 1: Approx. 30 sec
Channel 2: Approx. 15 sec
Channel 3: Approx. 15 sec

The DRU-3A is useful in many situations:

DX chasing or contest operation where repeated
calls are necessary for extended periods of time

Checking interference complaints to other equipment
(lets you be in two places at one time)

Checking or adjusting your transmit signal or your
antenna(s) if it’s not convenient to be sitting in front
of your microphone

Helping a friend adjust his antenna or receive when
he needs repeated test transmissions from you

For information on how to install the DRU-3A unit, refer
to “INSTALLING OPTIONS” {page 57}.
