Unscrew positive pole terminal
Take out battery
Note:
When installing the battery, ensure
that the positive pole terminal is
connected first.
Protect the battery poles and pole
terminals against corrosion with pole
protection grease.
Charge the battery
Warning!
Always heed safety precautions for
handling batteries!
Charge the battery only with a
suitable battery charger.
It is essential to observe the
instructions provided by the
manufacturerer of the charging
unit.
Connect battery charger to
correct poles and then connect to
the mains.
Note:
When battery is recharged,
disconnect battery charger first from
the mains and then from the battery.
Fault instructions
The engine will not start or runs
irregularly after starting
Charging or replacing battery.
Refuel.
Ventilate fuel system
(only for ICC 1 S D).
Clean or replace fuel filter.
Repairing fuel pipe.
Tighten the connections.
Clean the air filter or replace the
filter cartridge.
Inform Kärcher service.
Engine overheated (visual and
sound signal)
Top up coolant.
Clean radiator.
Check fuse/relay.
Inform Kärcher service.
Sweeping machine is moving
only slowly or not at all
Release parking brake.
Turn free-wheel lever.
Clean the tyres or drive through a
cleaning solution.
Inform Kärcher service.
Whistling noise in the hydraulic
system
Top up hydraulic fluid.
Side brushes are rotating only
slowly or not at all
Removing strings and bands.
Inform Kärcher service.
Dust formation
Switch on water pump.
Clean water nozzles.
Top up water.
Readjust water quantity.
Inform Kärcher service.
Sweeper unit does not pick up
refuse.
Empty the swept material
container.
Set engine speed correctly
(2700 1/min).
Adjust the distance from the
suction opening to the travel path
(18 mm).
Replace rollers.
Replace fan belt.
Increase engine speed
(max. 2700 1/min).
Clean intake channel.
Empty the swept material
container.
Clean spent air protective grille.
Inform Kärcher service.
Bin cannot be raised or lowered.
Switch off fan.
Inform Kärcher service.
Problems with hydraulically
actuated components.
Inform Kärcher service.
