Quick Start: Press the Silver Button on the side of the phone. This will launch

the homepage setup in the phone.

Open the flip and click the Applications icon from the list at the top (located on

the far right.)

Select the Internet icon.

• The Internet browser will open.

To view a specific page:

Click on Internet from the toolbar at the top.

Select the option Open Page, this will allow you to then type in an Internet

address or click on bookmarks.

Setting up a GPRS

Data Account

It is important this

data account is

created first.

This data account

allows the phone

(when used with a

PC) to access the

Internet via

Vodafone. The

email client also

uses this.

• Click the Control Panel icon from the list of icons at the top.

• Select the Connections tab.

• Select Messaging Accounts.

• The Email Accounts window will appear.

• Make sure that the Email tab is selected (it should be by default.)

• Click the New button to start a new account.

• Click the on the Basic tab.

• Under the Basic tab you will be able to enter in your Account Name, Your Name, and

Email Address details.

• Under Connection Type select POP3 or IMAP from the drop down box.

• Select Preferred account (GPRS Internet) from the Internet Account drop down box.

• Click the on the Inbox tab.

• In the User Name box type your username. This will normally be the first part of your

email address.

• In the Password box type your password. Please note that both the username and

password fields may be case sensitive.

• In the Incoming Server address field type in the incoming email server of your email

provider. Example pop3.vodafone.net.nz

Download Settings set to just headers or can be set to your personal preference.

Schedule Settings should have Scheduled Download deactivated.

• Click the on the Outbox tab.

• In the Outgoing Server Address field type smtp.vodafone.net.nz.

User SMTP Authentication should be disabled.

• Click the on the Advanced tab.

Secure Connection should be disabled.

Outgoing Mail Port should be set to 25.

Use MIME Encoding can be set to on.

Incoming Mail Port should be set to 110.

Secure Password Authentication should be disabled.

• Click Done.

To access you email account, click the Messages icon from the list at the top.

Your email account name should now be displayed next to an icon of an envelope with and

@ in the corner. Click on the envelope then on Get&send to access your email.
