start playback.

Press MASTER VOL +/– to
adjust the volume.

You can also use MASTER VOLUME on
the receiver.

To activate the muting function

Press MUTING.
The muting function will be canceled when
you do the following.
• Press MUTING again.
• Increase the MASTER VOLUME.
• Turn off the receiver.

To avoid damaging your
speakers

Before you turn off the receiver, be sure to turn
down the volume level.

To listen to the subwoofers

• You can use the SUBWOOFER VOLUME

on the power amplifier to adjust the volume
of the subwoofers.

• Set the volume level to suit your preference

according to the selected input as slight
adjustments may enhance the sound.

• If you set the subwoofer volume to

maximum, extraneous noise may be heard
depending on the source you are playing.

You can enter a name of up to 8 characters for
inputs and display it on the receiver’s display.
This is convenient for labeling the jacks with
the names of the connected components.

the input you want to create an
index name for.

You can also use INPUT SELECTOR on
the receiver.

Press AMP MENU.

“1-LEVEL” appears on the display.

“7-SYSTEM”.

“NAME IN”.

The cursor flashes and you can select a
character.

B/b to move the

cursor to the next position.

If you made a mistake

B/b until the character you want to

change flashes, then press

V/v to select

the correct character.

• You can select the character type as follows

by pressing
