HARDWARE SETUP
In addition to the Installation Guide, this section is designed to help
you configure the mainboard hardware and to provide
complementary knowledge of the hardware. (This chapter is
designed for Normal edition mainboard use only.)
Warning: Turn off the power to the mainboard, system
chassis, and peripheral devices before performing any
work on the mainboard or system.
After you install the mainboard:
1. Set the Voltage Type jumper JP17
2. Select the CPU voltage with jumper JP30
3. Select the CPU frequency with jumpers JP10~16
4. For Cyrix CPUs only, set the CPU burst mode jumper JP22
5. Set the onboard sound options with jumpers J2, J4, J5
6. Attach the Wake-On-LAN Connector JP44 (optional)
7. Set the CMOS clear jumper JP5
8. Install memory
9. Make case connections
Refer to this chapter whenever you upgrade or reconfigure your
system.
