2 Pass the fastener through the ferrite

core.

3 Loop the fastener around the cable

and lock it. Use scissors to cut off
any excess.

5-2. Connecting to Host Computer (Serial Interface)

1 Turn off power to both the host

computer and the printer.

2 Insert the connector at one end of

the interface cable into the connec-
tor on the printer and the other con-
nector into the connector for the
host computer.

3 Next, fasten the right and left screws

for the respective interface connec-
tors to fix them in place on the
connectors.
