Replacing the battery

1.

Make sure the telephone is turned off.

2.

Slide off the battery compartment cover.

Disconnect the battery plug from the jack in the compartment and remove the
battery pack.

4.

Insert the new battery pack and connect the cord into the jack.

Note: Please refer to the pictures in the Getting started section on page 7

5.

Put the battery compartment cover back on.

6.

Place handset on the base to charge for 15 hours.

Note: Charge the handset battery for 15 continuous hours prior to first use. The
initial battery charge is important to ensure best performance.

Caution: To reduce the risk of fire or personal injury, use a 3.6 V, 750mAh
battery. Replacement part number:

RECYCLING NICKEL-METAL HYDRIDE BATTERIES

NICKEL-METAL HYDRIDE BATTERIES MUST BE DISPOSED OF
PROPERLY.

Please take your used battery pack to a store that recycles Ni-MH
batteries.

HEADSET JACK AND BELT CLIP

Headset connection (headset not included)

An optional headset can be used with your telephone
for hands free conversation. To use a headset, plug it
into the HEADSET jack located on the side of the
handset. When the headset is connected, the handset
earpiece and microphone are disabled. While the
headset is connected, press TALK to answer or place a
call.

Belt clip

To attach the belt clip to the back of the handset:

1.

Slide the belt clip over the back of the handset until the
ventilation holes are aligned.

2.

Gently push the belt clip until it clicks into place.
