Unpacking
The 506 24-Bit CD Player comes in a box containing the
following components:
❍ 506 24-Bit CD Player.
❍ Meridian System Remote.
❍ 1 power cord.
❍ 1 optical connector blanking plug.
❍ This manual.
You are advised to retain the packing in case you need to
transport the unit.
To position the CD player
Do not place the CD player:
❍ In direct sunlight.
❍ Near heat sources, eg a radiator.
❍ On top of a power amplifier, as the heat generated may
damage the CD player.
However, it can be stacked under a 501 Control Unit and
504␣ Stereo FM Tuner, if you have these Meridian components in
your system.
In common with all CD players, the 506 24-Bit CD Player emits
some radio-frequency signals. Therefore, you should try to keep
all power cables and network leads away from signal cables,
including audio, antenna, and loudspeaker cables.
