Using Rate Limiting
Single devices should not occupy unlimited bandwidth, especially when the device malfunctions.
The most well-know problem is the broadcast storm caused by an incorrect topology or
malfunctioning device. The EDS-508 series not only prevents broadcast storms, but can also
configure the ingress/egress rate of unicast/multicast/broadcast packets, thus helping the
administrator control fully the limited bandwidth, and prevent unpredictable faults before they
occur.
