Tip: You can use a crisp dollar bill in place of the
feeler gauge. The thickness of the bill is approxi-
mately 0.004" .
To adjust the upper blade guides:

2. loosen the thumb screws shown in
Figure 44.

3. By hand, adjust the distance of the guides
approximately 0.004" from the sides of the
blades (see
Figure 45), then re-tighten the
thumb screws to secure the setting.
