Chuck Extender
The use of the chuck extender is only necessary
if the chisel is too short to reach the chuck. The
extender will lower the chuck approximately 1''.
To install the extender:
1. Remove the chuck cover on the mortiser’s
head by loosening the knobs at the front and
side of the cover plate.
2. Hold the motor shaft in place with a 10mm
wrench. Insert a phillips screwdriver into the
chuck key hole and unscrew the chuck in a
clockwise direction.

3. Thread the chuck extender onto the end of
the motor shaft then thread the chuck on.
4. Lightly tighten the chuck onto the extender.
