Hold Down
To install the hold down:
Slide the hold down assembly over the vertical
post so the fingers extend forward of the fence
over the table. Leave the setscrew loose for now.

Chisel Installation
1. Remove the chuck cover on the mortiser’s
head by loosening the knobs at the front and
side of the cover plate.

2. Mortise chisels have either a 5 ⁄

'' or 3 ⁄

'' mount-
ing shank. Determine which chisel you want
to use and locate the proper chisel bushing.
Remove the brass screw located on the front,
bottom of the headstock.
