When removing a jammed document or performing fault recovery, be
careful not to catch a necktie or necklace in the scanner's internal
mechanism.

Read this manual thoroughly to ensure correct connections of cables.
An incorrect connection could result in a malfunctioning scanner or
peripheral devices.

When disposing of the scanner, separate it from general waste.
The fluorescent lamp contains mercury. Do not put it in waste to be
processed at a general waste-dumping site.
For disposal of fluorescent lamps, follow the regulations or rules of
the relevant local government.
