Using the DVD player

This page appears when a disc is not playing or when the disc tray is empty.
Playing JPEG discs
JPEG is a picture format that lets you save pictures in small files sizes. JPEG files end with the
.jpg file extension.
To play a JPEG disc:
1 Insert a JPEG disc into the disc tray. A file menu appears.
2 Press the
or
button to select a picture, then press the PLAY/ENTER button to
view the picture. Your TV combo starts playing a slideshow of the pictures on the disc.
3 Press the PREV or NEXT button to move between pictures.
4 Press the PAUSE/STEP button to pause the slideshow. Press the PLAY/ENTER button
to resume playback.
Last Memory
Turns the last memory feature on or off. When this
sub-option is turned on, your TV combo remembers
where you stopped playback on a disc, and starts
playback at that point when you press the PLAY/ENTER
button.
Option
Description
Parental
Lets you block DVD ratings. You must enter a password to
access this option. The default password is 1234.
When you block a rating, that rating and all higher
ratings are blocked.
You can select:
• 1 Kid Safe–Safe for all children.
• 2 G–General audiences.
• 3 Pg–Parental guidance suggested.
• 4 Pg13–Suitable for children 13 and over. Parental
guidance suggested.
• 5 Pgr–Parental guidance strongly suggested.
• 6 R–Restricted. Under 17 requires parental guidance.
• 7 Nc17–No one under 17.
• 8 Adult–Adults only.
• OFF–Turns off parental controls.
Password
Lets you change the default password. You must enter
the default password, enter your new password, then
enter your new password again to confirm.
If you forget your password, enter 1369.
Default
Resets all DVD player settings to the factory defaults,
except the password and the parental lock status.
