12. After fitting the fiberglass tub extension to
the cuts, trim or sand the post as necessary for
good fitment.
NOTE: On coupes, the speaker box will need
to be trimmed.
13. Trim the tub extension for a good fit.
Make sure it does not hang over the storage
compartment. Notch out the fiberglass for the
raised area in the floor and sand for clearance
of the button-head screws.
14. Working from the exterior area of the
fender-well with the tub extension sitting in
place, grind the front portion of the metal
pinch weld (this is the two flanges spot welded
together). To match the contour of the
fiberglass grind to within 1/8” of the vertical
surface as shown.
15. After grinding and proper trimming of
the fiberglass tub extension, drill for the 3/16”
rivets evenly across the fiberglass insert. Use
the rivets as pins and drill for 15 rivets but do
not set the rivets yet.
