8. The front cut will be against the metal
frame, the rear cut should radius in the corner
and then go toward the fender-well as shown.
NOTE: On hard tops and convertibles the
post will need cut as close as possible to the
fender-well (this will later be bonded to the new
fiberglass tub extension). Coupes will need the
speaker box cut free from the fender well, leave
as much of the speaker box as possible, the cut
should not enter into the round speaker hole.
9. Cut and remove the stock fender-well and
clean up the edges with a sander.
10. Install the four (4) hat-shaped brackets
removed in step 4 using the eight (8) 10-24
screws and nuts provided. Use your reference
marks for the front to back location and
position the edge of the hat-shaped bracket
flush with the edge of the fiberglass.
11. Fit up the fiberglass tub extension to the
cuts.
IMPORTANT: The vertical wall of the
fiberglass tub extension must line up flush with
the cut running lengthwise. Check this from
the exterior.
