TO REPLACE MOWER DRIVE BELT
M O W ER DRIVE BELT REM OVAL
1. Park
tractor
on a level surface. Engage
parking brake.
2. Low er attachm ent lift lever to its lowest
position.
3.
Rem ove any dirt or grass clippings
w hich m ay have accum ulated around
m andrels and entire upper deck sur
face.
4.
Rem ove belt from electric clutch pulley
(M),
both m andrel pulleys (R) and all
idler pulleys (S).
M O W ER DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION
1. Install belt around all m andrel pulleys
(R) and around idler pulleys (S) as
show n.
2. Install belt onto electric clutch pulley
(M).
IMPORTANT:
Check belt for proper rout
ing in all m ow er pulley grooves.
3.
Raise attachm ent lift lever to highest
position.
TO REPLACE MOTION DRIVE BELT
Park the tractor on level surface. Engage
parking brake. For assistance, there is a
belt installation guide decal on bottom side
of left footrest.
BELT REM O VAL -
1. Rem ove m ow er (See “TO REM O VE
M O W ER” in this section of m anual).
NOTE:
O bserve entire m otion drive belt
and position of all belt guides and keep
ers.
2.
Rem ove belt from stationary idler (A)
and clutching idler (B).
3.
Rem ove belt from centerspan idler (C).
4. Pull belt slack tow ard rear of tractor.
Carefully rem ove belt upw ards from
transm ission input pulley and over
cooling fan blades (D).
5. Rem ove belt downward from engine
pulley (E).
6. Slide belt tow ard rear of tractor, off the
steering plate (F) and rem ove from
tractor.
BELT INSTALLATIO N -
1. Install new belt from tractor rear to
front, over the steering plate (F) and
above clutch brake pedal shaft (G ).
2. Pull belt tow ard front of tractor and roll
belt onto engine pulley (E).
3. Pull belt tow ard rear of tractor. Care
fully w ork belt dow n around transm is
sion cooling fan and onto the input
pulley (D). Be sure belt is inside the
belt keeper.
4. Install belt on centerspan idler (C).
5. Install belt through stationary idler (A)
and clutching idler (B).
6. M ake sure belt is in all pulley grooves
and inside all belt guides and keepers.

M O W ER” in this section of m anual).
